The coal colored sky was dotted with bright stars. Jeremiah was not looking up at the picture-perfect sky, but rather, at his girlfriend, Daisy. Jeremiah's ocean-colored eyes shone as bright as the stars, his chest heaved up and down and his gruff manly voice cracked as he broke the silent night air.
" Daisy, I have to tell you something, a secret." Daisy let his sweaty hand slip away from her dainty one and looked deep in to his eyes, those eyes she loved so much.
" You know I'll listen to you...always." Her voice lowered and she got on her toes to gently kiss his nose. Then rested her blonde head on his chest, to find his heart beating fast. Jeremiah took a huge gulp of air, that caught in his throat, as if it was Elmer's glue. He took Daisy's warm hands and pushed her away to look in her chocolate-colored eyes.
" I know, I will always do everything in my power to keep anyone from hurting. When I tell you, I don't expect you to understand...I was young and foolish but now..." his voice fell as if it were falling from a huge skyscraper and he couldn't finish. His pale face turned paler, finally Daisy said,
"Whatever it was, it will never change the way I feel about you." She said with serious voice.
"But what if you hate me? I still haven't gotten over it." He shuddered
"Tell me." Daisy was now truly worried. 'What doesn't he want to tell me?' Daisy thought. A few moments were filled with intense silence, the grass around them looked blue against the moon light. This was their place to get away from the problems not let it join them.
" One night, back in my senior year, some of my friends and I went for a drive after a party. They were wasted beyond belief, but I was the only coherent one there, so I drove. Anyway, we were driving down this steep road, there were a lot of sharp corners. But I...I," his voice cracked again and tears filled the corners of his eyes, Daisy scooted closer to him and pressed her hand into his, wanting ti comfort him. He finally cleared his throat, after what it felt like a century.
" Well driving a Ford Pinto, it never took the corners well. One corner was really bad that night, and I was going to fast to make the corner." He began to talk faster before he broke down, " We went through a broken gate and barreled through I don't know how many trees, it was pitch black. I woke up in the dark, I could hear one of the wheels still turning, but the tire spinning was the only sound I could hear. By now he was letting the emotions flow, Daisy tried to keep herself together, for him. Jeremiah lifted his head up and held Daisy's face in his hands. Daisy whispered,
" I'll always love you." That's all he wanted to hear.
